Down in Ya Bones was born in the stillness of 2019–2020, when isolation slowed life enough for the old stories to rise. A small tune found me while working the land — a tune I recognised as ancestral, carried in my bones. From that thread grew a family creation: a folk‑opera of sorts, remembering how my Scottish lineage travelled across oceans and rooted itself here in Australia.
Shaped by land, lineage, and the shared hands and voices of my family, this album is a journey of grief, love, and gratitude — sung from the marrow.
