Menstrual Culture

Unlearning Shame, Reclaiming a new Story

This program explores the cultural stories surrounding menstruation — the forgetting, the silencing, the negativity, the shame— and invites learners to explore and reclaim menstruation as meaningful, powerful, and deeply human. Together we question inherited narratives, explore how modern society and media have played a powerful role in this and together we navigate how we can create new stories, rooted in respect, curiosity, and embodied truth.

This program is designed for learners from eight years old through to adults. The core teachings remain the same, but the way they are offered is thoughtfully tailored to meet different developmental needs — simple and supportive for younger learners, and deeper and more expansive for teens and adults. Beginning earlier matters: so many teenagers say the menstrual education they received came too little and too late , or nothing at all. Offering age‑appropriate learning from around eight years old helps young people meet their cycle when it arrives hopefully with knowledge, confidence, and connection rather than confusion or isolation.

This program is currently moving through its own seasonal renewal, with updated offerings arriving this Spring. If you feel drawn to work with me, please contact directly via email or subscribe to my newsletter to receive updates as the curriculum unfolds.
