The Adventures of Lily and Tily
(the little dog with a heart shaped patch)
When Lily Met Tily
Lily loves to play outside. If only she had someone to play with her all the time, everyday. One day Tily, the little dog with a heart shape patch came to stay. Here a very special friendship is formed, one of love, laughter and fun adventures.
Pocket Pants
Lily and Tily her little dog with a heart shaped patch love to play outside. The day they went to the park by the big sea with dad, Lily’s pocket pants become treasure chests holding magical memories of their adventures.
Written over a decade and half ago, in the midst of raising a very active and curious toddler-daughter, The Adventures of Lily and Tily books were born, based on her real life adventures and our little dog Tily, who has a heart shaped patch.
I hope the books inspire young children to go on adventures ( just like Lily and Tily like to do, and still do!) and are set outside in nature where they are most happiest.
The themes that come through the stories naturally are the the value of the outdoors and nature to inspire and nurture children’s imagination and creativity. The importance of a healthy sense of adventure, the unconditional love and friendship of animals, the significance of family time and connection and the overwhelming need for children to learn and socialise through outside play.
